VoCE spots Engineered Hairdressing Backstage at the Alexander McQueen | Autumn/Winter 2012
Sarah Burton went to infinity and beyond for her fall 2012 collection for Alexander McQueen, bringing back with her some fabulous alien race dressed in gorgeous gowns resembling high fashion sea anemones. Or at least that’s how it seemed. But as this backstage video reveals, these heavenly confections were painstakingly handcrafted by human hands.The models were cloned with short bleached wigs, immaculately combed back off the face and hard silver visors that obscured the world’s most beautiful women, apart from their lips.
